Happy Half Birthday dear Nora!

This past week was a great one. So much to be thankful for!
1. A fun day with Kathy, Maria (& Owen), and Grandma Sivey. We went to Warsaw had a nice lunch and lots of shopping. It was a beautiful day--didn't rain. I didn't get much--but a fun mobile-like toy for Nora.
2. My dad's visit--he arrived Friday night and stayed til Tuesday morning. It was a nice long visit. We went to Shoaff Park again this Saturday and had a picnic while the guys played frisbee golf. It was a nice day!
3. Put dad to work on constructing the high chair. He did a great job :)

4. A date night with Josh to Applebee's--thanks for babysitting, Dad!
5. Father's Day and Nora's Dedication to the Lord on Sunday. We had tons of family to the service and even more came to our house afterwards for lunch. It was a warm day but didn't rain so we sat outside for food. It was my first 'party' in this house (it's too small for the amount of people we had--15ish). I was nervous but for the most part it went well.
6. More about the dedication. It was pretty simple up on stage but I liked how Pastor Bill said it wasn't a baptism service. We are saying to the church and our family that we want to raise Nora to be a Christian but that will still be her decision as she grows older. This is one of the few photos of Nora in her dedication dress. It was so cute on her!

7. Starting solid food with Nora on Sunday. Most of the fam was still around so it was fun for them to see and we got it on video! She had rice cereal and did so well with it--I was surprised how much stayed in her mouth :)

8. This picture is about half of the family that were with us (this is my side, Josh's side had already left).

9. Having Meredith around from Sunday afternoon til Tuesday afternoon. It was great seeing her and she loves spending time with Nora (and Nora loves it too!). We 5 went to Cindy's diner, a bike ride/walk on Monday afternoon. Meredith also came with us to storytime yesterday.

10. A great checkup for Nora yesterday. She is 12 pounds 14 oz. (I won the bet because I thought she'd be 12 lbs 12 oz.) which is the 5th percentile now. Also she is 24 inches long (5%). She is doing very well and we're so thankful she's healthy!! It's hard to believe that Nora is already 6 months old now :)

Oh goodness, she's getting so big. Solid foods?! The dedication sounds like it went well. So glad. Your family is beautiful.

Love you.
