Happy (First) 4th!

Sorry again that this blog is late in coming! We've had a great past week and wanted to tell you about it--better late than never!

1) Nora was sick for the first time this past week. She had a 101 fever (not bad for babies) Wednesday afternoon. We gave her tylenol but then took her to our family doctor on Thursday morning. She had an upper respiratory infection and got some medicine for it. It was kinda stressful for me to see Nora sick but she was for the most part her happy self :)

2) It was nice that Josh had Friday night off of work. It gave us the chance to see Joel playing at a coffee house in Auburn. It was also fun to hang out with Dave, Emily, and Daniel (they've been on vacation the last few weeks). I didn't bring my camera but hopefully can get a copy of the cute ones that Emily took--Daniel and Nora were wearing matching 4th of July hats (that got glitter everywhere!).

3) A Kenyon 4th of July! We made really good time (online had said it'd take 4 hours!). Just enought time to feed Nora in the car before meeting up with the Linger's to watch the Gambier parade :) Josh decided last minute to walk Samson in the dog section--he did pretty well and it gave him something to do other than jump up on people! Also got to see Fred's summer workers and Charlotte as a mime in the parade.

Samson got some of his own medicine when he met up with a huge dog! It's a really calm and friendly Irish wolf-hound (I think). He wouldn't get near that dog :)

3) Having lunch with Linger's and 2001 Alums. I'd heard about these people since I was a student but had never met them. They're very nice and it was fun to meet their kids too :)
4) Relaxing at Big House. But Nora still wouldn't take a nap!

5) Croquet with the gang! I didn't do very well but Josh almost won his first time out there (first time since he was a little kid playing) but he didn't quite understand the rule about winning or become poison. Charlotte and Samson enjoyed watching on the sidelines :)

6) Our first dinner at the new and improved Peirce! Nora even tried a lemon (not her first). She doesn't hate them as much as peas!!
