We had another blessed week! On Friday we went out to Ohio to interview Josh's grandma on camera. It was neat to look at old quilts and hear all her stories--her memory sure is strong! We talked for a few hours before driving around to see all the houses she's lived in, all within 10 miles of each other. It's always a fun, relaxing time when we go to Ohio but Nora doesn't always sleep the best. This was no exception. She woke up a few times in the night and was up for good at 6:30! It was a combination of teething and a cold we think. But we still had a fun Saturday at the Hall Family Reunion. It was great to meet Grandma Sivey's family that I hadn't before--some came all the way from Atlanta, GA! The weather was beautiful and we had a great time eating lots, playing games, and just hanging out. I didn't take any photos (batteries acting up) but lots of family have posted them to facebook.
In Nicky News, we had another baby appointment Tuesday morning. I didn't get to see my doctor (again!) but the nurse was easily able to find the heartbeat and said it sounded "strong" which Josh immediately translated as "it's a boy!" But we'll find out next Saturday :) Today marks the half way point--we're 20 weeks along. Today Nicky begins to be measured from head to heal. And he's getting big--10 inches (the size of a banana) and about 10 oz. I'm feeling more movement but no big kicks yet.
Nora also had her check-up this week--this morning at 8am!! A little earlier than we're usually up. Josh came along with us and it was a great appointment :) Nora is still below the charts in regards to weight--She's now 19 lbs. 2 oz. but it's great that she didn't go below the charts another notch. In height, she's acutally on the charts! At 30 inches, she's now in the 10th percentile. And her head is still about 25%. Dr. Amy could see just how well Nora is doing and didn't get any cries from her. We got to go out to breakfast at McDonald's to celebrate :)
That's it for now, friends and fam. Hope you all have a blessed week too!
